Tinted Contact Lenses

Contacts can come in a number of varieties, including hard and soft lenses. Hard contacts are generally not disposable, while soft contacts should be thrown away after a period of time. Both types of contact lenses are made of various types of polymers, usually containing some variant of silicone hydrogel. Modern day hard contacts are now manufactured by rigid gas-permeable (RGP) contact lenses. Many contact lenses are made of hydrophilic (water-absorbing) materials, thereby allowing oxygen to reach the cornea, and make the lens more comfortable to wear.

Tinted contact lenses incorporate blending designs to change the colour of the iris, and are purely used for cosmetic reasons. Some standard contact lenses are slightly tinted in order to make them more visible for handling purposes. Colour contact lenses are mostly used by teenagers to create their own personal statement and change their looks while attending parties and other special occasions.

Blue, Grey, Hazel, Turquoise, Aqua, Brown, Green, and Violet are only a few of the many colours that you can buy from the FreshLook range to enhance your visual appearance.

There is also opaque cheap crazy contact lens available on the market that changes the looks of your eyes completely. These types of lenses provide special effects for occasions such as Halloween, where people want to go dressed up as zombies with white eyes, or vampires with blood shot red eyes. Special effects like flame, cross, and flower are also available. You have a wide variety of choice to choose from.

Most of these contact lenses come without any vision correction. If your eye needs a lens that needs some vision correction then you will require a prescription by law. Most of these coloured lenses can be bought without any prescription (plano lenses). These contact lenses are mostly of disposable type.
